Project Description
The steeply sloping site of the former St Cuthberts Church is located between Argyll Street and Victoria Crescent and provides 17 units of both 1 and 2 bed flats in two distinct blocks. A 3 storey tenement street infill raised up and set back from the busy Argyll Street set to allow the adjacent Dunoon Burgh Hall to maintain its prominent corner position while the rear stepped block acts as a book end to Royal Crescent while maintaining open views over Victoria Park. Plean precast facade and render provide a civic presence with natural stone walling on Argyll Street allows for display of historical motifs and steps back from the pavement to allow for re-use of seating providing the community with a welcome meet and rest along the busy town centre street.
